CatBud Terms of Service
CatBud is part of the Catnip service family.
The Traditional Chinese version governs. All other languages are supporting translations only.
CatBud services are digital services directly provided or managed by Catnip Studio (貓草工作室) under the CatBud name, or expressly included in CatBud, including websites, Minecraft servers, the CatBud launcher, official communities, events, transactions, support, and related integration features.
An independently provided third-party account, platform, website, application, or other service is not part of CatBud merely because it is linked, used for sign-in, integrated, or compatible.
Game features require a lawfully obtained, compatible Minecraft: Java Edition／Microsoft account, network connection, and a client then supported by CatBud. Supported versions and other conditions are shown in the service interface.
CatBud may adjust supported versions, clients, or mods for security, compatibility, or maintenance needs; other service adjustments and the handling of test, preview, or unofficial features are governed by the Catnip Terms.
Cat Coins, Monthly Passes, items, and other optional content are governed by the transaction, digital-value, and refund provisions of the Catnip Terms; characters, progress, builds, worlds, and other game records are governed by its electronic-record provisions. The content, scope, and acquisition and use conditions of each are those clearly shown when provided or transacted.
Players must follow the linked Game and Community Rules. CatBud distinguishes direct harm to Catnip or CatBud services (M through UR) from harm between players in the community (M through SSR). M and LM are 1-day and 7-day mutes; R, SR, and SSR restrict gameplay for 1, 3, and 7 days respectively.
Service harm may result in UR on the first violation if grounds for immediate termination under the Catnip Terms are met. Each community violation is addressed according to its circumstances. If violations for the same cause continue despite notice to improve, only the third and subsequent violations constitute grounds for termination, and CatBud may impose UR. UR terminates the affected service contract after notifying the player through their registered contact details. First-violation notice and improvement, preservation, restrictions, and appeals follow the Catnip Terms.
Duties to return property, repair damage, or provide reasonable compensation are based on actual harm and remain during and after a penalty. Based on evidence, CatBud may require item or currency returns, building repairs, reasonable game-currency compensation, corrections or removal of content, and an agreed apology in a designated forum. It may also restore data or confiscate or remove improper gains as necessary. The method, scope, and reasonable deadline must be communicated, with no duplicate credit for completed returns or restoration.
Complete compensation within the notified, reasonable deadline; failure without a valid reason may trigger UR review. UR follows the termination grounds and procedures already set out in the Terms. One continuing failure is not counted as multiple violations. Players may submit evidence for review of the scope or difficulty of performance.
Community leaders, administrators, and System exercise assigned authority and must follow the rules. Players may submit evidence of staff misconduct directly to System. Verified misconduct may result in removal from office and separate action under the relevant category. Application eligibility and contact details appear on the rules page.

The official product page rates Minecraft: Java Edition, the base game used by CatBud, at Taiwan's Protection level for ages 6 and up and identifies violence. CatBud also includes online player interaction governed by the game and community rules. Minors must complete the legal-representative consent procedure required by the Catnip Terms.

Minecraft's official base minimum is at least four physical CPU cores; at least 8 GB of system memory with a discrete GPU or 12 GB with integrated graphics; Vulkan 1.3-capable graphics hardware with at least 2 GB of VRAM; and at least 2 GB of available storage for the base game. Storage for the CatBud launcher, current modpack, and update staging is additional. Actual space requirements vary with the version then available and files already on the device. Allow ample additional space, and do not install or launch if the device lacks sufficient space or performance.

When payment is used to participate directly or indirectly in a chance-based product or event, the content, required consideration, prizes, percentage odds, and other prize information are available before participation in the in-game prize list or purchase interface. This is a chance-based product; purchase or participation does not mean that a specific item will be obtained.
