CatBud Terms of Service

Scope, document order, and consent

CatBud services include websites, Minecraft servers, official communities, events, transactions, support, integrations, and related features that Catnip Co. directly provides, materially controls, or expressly includes in the CatBud service family.

These Terms become part of the service agreement when a player signs in with a verified account and completes the service's express checkbox or other designated consent process. Merely viewing a public webpage does not replace a required affirmative consent process. If you do not agree, do not complete that process or use a service that requires these Terms.

The review period for these Terms is at least three days. A complete version that can be viewed and saved must be available before consent. An affirmative checkbox records consent and may not be interpreted as a waiver of any statutory right to review the agreement.

The Catnip Terms, these Terms, legally effective game and community rules, purchase-page conditions, and activity terms together form the service agreement. Mandatory law and individually negotiated terms remain unaffected; any ambiguity is handled under applicable law.

Eligibility, minors, and account security

You must own a legitimate Minecraft: Java Edition account to use game features and must follow the terms of Microsoft, Mojang Studios, and other relevant platforms.

A person with limited or no legal capacity must obtain a legal representative's consent or have the representative enter into the agreement as required by the Catnip Terms. Players must provide truthful information they are entitled to provide and may not impersonate others or sell, rent, transfer, share, or disclose account authentication data for improper use.

Players must take reasonable steps to protect their accounts and devices and are responsible for uses attributable to their own breach. Suspected unauthorized access must be reported promptly. CatBud may temporarily secure an account and investigate to protect the account, services, or third parties, but account access alone does not conclusively establish that every act was performed by the account holder.

Holding multiple accounts is not automatically a violation. They may not be used to evade restrictions, assist a sanctioned player, move improper benefits, manipulate an activity, or obtain duplicate benefits that the service did not intend to provide.

Game, community, and security conduct

Players must follow the game and community rules and lawful, reasonable, service-related instructions from the administration team that protect safety, fairness, order, and the rights of others.

The following conduct, including attempts, assistance, solicitation, knowing receipt of benefits, or evasion, is prohibited. A determination must still consider the relevant function, manner of use, impact, and available evidence.

• Using cheats, unauthorized automation, packet or client modifications, macros, hardware assistance, or other tools that undermine normal gameplay or fairness.
• Exploiting, sharing, or concealing a known vulnerability; duplicating items or value; or scanning, testing, reverse engineering, disrupting, attacking, or bypassing service security without authorization.
• Altering, deleting, or fabricating records; obstructing an investigation; inducing false statements; or knowingly receiving, holding, transferring, or using improperly obtained benefits.
• Fraud, phishing, official impersonation, unauthorized real-money trading, laundering-style transactions, abusive chargebacks, or other improper payment and transaction conduct.
• Harassment, threats, hate, stalking, disclosure of another person's non-public data, infringement, or unlawful, harmful, or seriously disruptive community content.

Investigations, evidence preservation, and urgent measures

To protect service security, fairness, and rights, CatBud may, to the extent necessary, use server and activity logs, anti-cheat results, transaction data, content records, player reports, and other lawfully obtained evidence for detection, comparison, investigation, and preservation. Related data is handled under the Privacy Policy.

No single internal record is conclusive and unchallengeable evidence. CatBud may reach a decision based on the reliability, relevance, and totality of the evidence, and the player may provide verifiable counter-evidence or an explanation. Security methods, third-party data, and details that could facilitate evasion may be withheld where the law permits.

Where concrete risk indicates that harm may continue or expand, or evidence or assets need to be preserved, CatBud may first take necessary and proportionate temporary protective measures. A protective measure is not a final finding. If it materially restricts the right to play, it is counted toward the applicable statutory restriction period under the Catnip Terms.

A person who discovers a vulnerability must stop exploiting it and report it through an official channel. Without written authorization, testing or research does not permit access to another person's data, expansion of impact, retention of improper benefits, or disclosure of exploitable details before remediation.

Cat Coins, transactions, and virtual content

Cat Coins, items, permissions, and other virtual content are digital rights to use features under the service rules. They are not legal tender or deposits and may not be redeemed for cash, resold, transferred, or traded outside the service unless an express and lawful service mechanism permits it.

Paid points and rewards obtained without charge are distinguished under the Catnip Terms and the transaction page. Paid points may not expire, and cancellation, termination, and refunds follow the Catnip Terms and applicable law. Clearly distinguishable free content may be adjusted or expire under activity conditions disclosed in advance.

Virtual content or benefits resulting from an error, vulnerability, duplicate delivery, non-payment, refund, fraud, or violation may, after verification, be cancelled, recovered, frozen, restored to the pre-transaction state, or stripped of resulting benefits. The player may provide payment records or other counter-evidence.

CatBud may adjust ordinary game content, economic parameters, acquisition methods, and effects to preserve balance and normal operation, but may not unlawfully diminish valid paid value. If a transaction is abnormal or reasonably suspected of misuse, delivery or the affected transaction feature may be held until verification is complete.

World data, progress, and test content

Characters, items, builds, worlds, rankings, quests, achievements, and other progress are electronic records within the service. During the agreement, players have the right to use and control them as the rules provide, but do not thereby acquire rights in server software, databases, official assets, or off-service transactions.

Ordinary version updates, balance changes, bug fixes, content rotations, map maintenance, and security work may change the presentation of progress, features, or acquisition methods. Material rights, planned maintenance, and cessation of operations remain subject to the notice, restoration, and compensation provisions of the Catnip Terms.

Features, worlds, and content clearly marked as test, preview, seasonal, event, or experimental may be adjusted, reset, or discontinued according to their disclosed nature and are not guaranteed to transfer into the production service, except for established paid rights or where applicable law requires otherwise.

Service operation, maintenance, and third parties

CatBud takes reasonable steps to maintain the services, but maintenance, updates, cybersecurity incidents, networks, force majeure, or third-party platforms may affect them. Planned maintenance, attributable interruption, fee restoration, and reasonable compensation are handled under the Catnip Terms and applicable law.

During a temporary, urgent, or security incident, CatBud may immediately isolate an affected feature, reject suspicious traffic, restore a backup, or suspend part of a service to control risk. Once stable, the service should be restored or the situation explained within a reasonable scope.

The services may depend on Microsoft, Mojang Studios, Discord, Tebex, and other third parties. Accounts, connections, payments, and features independently controlled by a third party are also governed by its terms. CatBud is not directly responsible for third-party conduct outside its control and not attributable to it, without excluding assistance, refunds, or liability required by law.

Intellectual property and player content

Rights in the brands, websites, software, interfaces, databases, text, artwork, audiovisual materials, and other original content of CatBud and Catnip services belong to Catnip Co. or their respective owners. Except for the limited license necessary for ordinary service use, they may not be copied, extracted, reverse engineered, distributed, sold, imitated, or commercially exploited without permission.

Players retain their original rights in content they lawfully provide and grant Catnip Co. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, delegable for the same purposes, to the extent necessary to operate, display, transmit, back up, moderate, protect the services, and promote content the player has made public. Personal data remains subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Where reasonable evidence indicates that player content is unlawful, infringing, in breach, unsafe, or seriously harmful to another person's rights, CatBud may preserve, hide, remove, or restrict access to it and cooperate with rightsholders or authorities as required by law.

Enforcement, related accounts, and termination

Based on the evidence, severity, impact, intent or negligence, history, and remedial conduct, CatBud may issue a warning or improvement request, remove improper benefits, restore a state, remove content, restrict ancillary features, or restrict the right to play, provided the measure is necessary and proportionate. The opportunity to improve after a first violation, maximum period for each restriction on play, and notice procedure follow the Catnip Terms.

Use of cheats or vulnerabilities to undermine fairness, malicious attacks, fraudulent purchases, repeated violations of the same kind without improvement, or other serious events listed in the Catnip Terms may result in termination of the affected service relationship after the required notice. CatBud is responsible under law if the finding is wrong or cannot be proven.

Where reasonable evidence shows that multiple accounts are controlled by the same player or are used to assist, benefit from, transfer gains, obstruct an investigation, or evade a measure, CatBud may investigate them together and extend necessary measures to related accounts. A shared network address or device alone should not be the sole basis for the finding.

Removing prohibited content or improper benefits, restoring a state affected by an exploit or error, and restricting ancillary features without preventing ordinary gameplay may continue as necessary to complete remediation, but may not be used to bypass a legally applicable limit on restrictions of the right to play.

Notice, appeals, and cooperation

Notice of an enforcement action, the appeal period, the 24-hour intake channel, and the response period follow the Catnip Terms. Players may submit a specific explanation and verifiable evidence. CatBud must review the complete record but need not disclose information that could compromise detection, security, or third-party rights.

An appeal does not automatically stay an existing security, preservation, or management measure. CatBud may modify or lift it if new evidence shows that it is unnecessary or excessive. During an investigation, a player may not destroy evidence, transfer disputed benefits, or use another account to expand the impact.

Case-specific leniency, settlement, compensation, or delay in exercising a right is not an admission of liability, a change to the general rules, or a waiver of the right to handle another matter under law.

Responsibility and loss prevention

CatBud and Catnip Co. are responsible under the Catnip Terms and applicable law for attributable harm to services, security, personal data, transactions, or systems with adequate causation. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability for intentional conduct or gross negligence.

CatBud is not directly responsible for effects of player devices, networks, third-party platforms, external attacks, or force majeure that are outside its control and not attributable to it, but will provide reasonable protection, notice, restoration, and assistance where required by law or agreement.

A player whose attributable unlawful conduct, breach, infringement, attack, fraud, or evasion causes harm is legally responsible for directly and adequately caused loss and necessary handling costs, excluding attorney fees, penalties, or other liability that the law prohibits from being agreed in advance. Both sides must take reasonable steps to prevent avoidable expansion of loss.

Versions, changes, language, and contact

Changes to these Terms or the game and community rules must follow the announcement, notice, and objection procedures in the Catnip Terms. A change that has not completed a mandatory procedure does not automatically take effect merely because a player continues to use the service.

Under the Privacy Policy, CatBud may retain the terms version applicable when the player consented, the times of presentation and consent, the account identifier, and necessary technical records to prove the agreement content and consent process. Prior versions may be retained for existing matters, appeals, or legally required preservation.

The Traditional Chinese version controls and other languages are provided for understanding. A different mandatory legal requirement prevails. If a part is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent the agreement can still stand without becoming manifestly unfair.
