Rating and age

The official product page rates Minecraft: Java Edition, the base game used by CatBud, at Taiwan's Protection level for ages 6 and up and identifies violence. CatBud also includes online player interaction governed by the game and community rules. Minors must complete the legal-representative consent procedure required by the Catnip Terms.

Base-game and connection software

Minecraft: Java Edition 26.2, a lawfully obtained Microsoft/Minecraft account, a stable internet connection, and 64-bit Windows 10, Windows on ARM, macOS 12 or later, or 64-bit Linux.

Currently verified baseline hardware

Minecraft's official base minimum is at least four physical CPU cores; at least 8 GB of system memory with a discrete GPU or 12 GB with integrated graphics; Vulkan 1.3-capable graphics hardware with at least 2 GB of VRAM; and at least 2 GB of available storage for the base game. Storage for the CatBud launcher, current modpack, and update staging is additional. Actual space requirements vary with the version then available and files already on the device. Allow ample additional space, and do not install or launch if the device lacks sufficient space or performance.

Security device

CatBud currently does not separately provide a free or paid security device; players must safeguard their account and authentication details under the Catnip Terms.

Chance-based products

When payment is used to participate directly or indirectly in a chance-based product or event, the content, required consideration, prizes, percentage odds, and other prize information are available before participation in the in-game prize list or purchase interface. This is a chance-based product; purchase or participation does not mean that a specific item will be obtained.
